Antony's career began in the Paris region, where he completed his Bac Pro in Sales. Seeking further education, he moved to Strasbourg to attend Lycée René Cassin, where he joined an experimental preparatory class for professional baccalaureates. Antony's academic journey continued at EM Strasbourg, where he met his wife and decided to settle in the region.
Antony's professional journey took a significant turn when he joined Arias Maia, a consulting firm that was later acquired by Technology and Strategy. Initially, Antony managed the technical assistance activity in the Grand Est region, focusing on Haut-Rhin and Nord-Franche-Comté. His role quickly expanded, and he took on responsibilities in commercial coaching, which he found immensely rewarding.
"Management, I had done during my end-of-study internship, commerce, I had done a lot because I had notably a self-employed VRP business during my commerce studies, and recruitment interested me a lot, but for the moment, I had no experience."
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Antony faced challenges in internal communication and decided to explore opportunities outside the company. However, after a brief stint at ECO Green Energy, he returned to Technology and Strategy, driven by the exciting prospects of the Englab project.
"I came back because, in fact, they presented and discussed the Englab project with me, which was entirely different."
At Englab, Antony played a pivotal role in establishing the commercial activity. He leveraged his knowledge of the industrial sector and his internal connections to create effective collaborations.
"I knew the industrial sector, the industrial activity sector. I also knew the people internally. So, it allowed me to create bridges quite easily, especially with the agencies we collaborate with a lot."
Antony's approach focused on mastering commercial fundamentals, such as planning, budgeting, and decision-making processes, while leaving technical expertise to his colleagues.
"What helped me the most is not so much my knowledge of the industrial sector, but rather my ability to not get involved in the technical side. Many salespeople think they need to be interested in the technical side when arriving in engineering, but I chose to stick to my fundamentals that I mastered, which is commerce."
"I think that's how I created my success. By focusing on my commercial skills and leaving the technical side to those who master it."
Antony's success at Englab is marked by his ability to balance professional and personal life. As a father of two young children, he managed to achieve his objectives while being present for his family. His dedication to both his career and his family is a source of pride and accomplishment.
"My greatest achievement is having, for three years, managed to achieve all my objectives, each time. While having, on a personal level, two children, and see them growing by spending times with them."
