Englab with T&S are pioneering the future of manufacturing with our Industry 5.0 production line. This innovative platform combines human-machine collaboration, AI, and robotics to optimize processes and drive industrial efficiency.

After three years of research and development in partnership with the Grand-Est region, research laboratories (ICube) and various industrial partners, the experimental production line developed in our R&D center is a veritable revolution for industry.

Fruit of several years of research, the “industry x.0” project is an intelligent industrial ecosystem where processes are optimized, and decisions are taken in real time. By combining human and machine collaboration, these production lines open the way for a more agile and resilient industry.

Our dedicated team is the driving force behind innovation at T&S. Specializing in autonomous off-road robotics and Industry 5.0, we anticipate future needs and develop NextGen technological solutions. By linking research and the market, we transform innovation into value for our customers and shape the industry of tomorrow.

Our Industry 5.0 Production line platform: a lever for competitiveness

Image of the industrie du futur experimental platform

The experimental production line incorporates the latest advances in automation, artificial intelligence and robotics, offering a concrete preview of the factory of the future.

Today, tools developed and deployed by our experts go even further enabling, for example, operators to collaborate with artificial intelligence In fact, every step of the process is facilitated, making production more flexible, more efficient and more human.

With the support of the Région Grand Est, our R&D Center initiated the “Industry x.0” project in 2020. This ambitious project aims to experiment with the latest industrial technologies in a real-life environment, to improve the competitiveness of companies in a context of reindustrialization. By testing innovative solutions such as robotics and artificial intelligence, our team aims to optimize production processes, while taking into account the needs of operators and training issues.

So what are the objectives of this experimental production line?

The main objective of the line is to respond to current reindustrialization issues:

- Production process flexibility

- Operator adaptability

- Rapid integration of new product variants

In response to these issues, the experimental platform has been optimized by organizing workstations into flexible, modular workstations. It comprises :

- A central cabinet with the main PLC

- An AI-assisted adaptive assembly station

- A modular test and validation station

- An AI-assisted quality control station to detect potential product defects

- A packaging station to ensure product traceability and quality at the end of the production process

- A flexible, automated conveyor system for packaged products that adapts to production changes and manages product flow efficiency.

- A robotized logistics system to automate transport tasks

Product handling is fully automated via a cobot, guaranteeing precise, controlled transfer.

Mastery and expertise: the keys to our success

Together with the R&D Center team, Technology & Strategy's mission is to identify emerging R&D issues and develop tailor-made solutions to meet our customers' needs and help them move forward in these areas. T&S's multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary positioning enables us to gain feedback on a wide range of industrial and current market issues.

From experimentation to industrialization: our initial feedback

Driven by the rise of AI and the expectations of our customers, our experts have prioritized the development of innovative solutions such as AI-based assembly assistance, vision learning inspection and predictive maintenance. These technological building blocks, already successfully tested by our customers, are now at the heart of our strategy.

After the first validations and realizations of POCs for customers, it became clear that we were able to carry out tests rapidly, from the test phase right through to deployment on customer sites.

Our installation is attracting strong interest from research laboratories (CNRS, etc.) wishing to validate their theoretical models on real experimental data - a rare opportunity given the low number of industrial-scale prototypes.

Our line also enables you to test or visualize suppliers' innovative products in production situations. The latter can come to our site with their customers to visit the installations. We also welcome students from schools, universities and IUTs, with a view to teaching them about new technologies.
