Our dear collaborator, Benoît Bordenave, occupies a position that is both strategic and polyvalent: that of Sales Technical Coordinator. A title that may sound rather technical, but it covers a very human job, based on communication, organization and responsiveness.
Benoît is the link between our customers and our technical teams. How does he do it? Ensuring that everyone is working in the same direction. He monitors projects, manages budgets, allocates tasks, and above all, ensures that customer needs are clearly understood and transformed into concrete solutions by the engineers.
For Benoît, communication is essential. “I talk to people from different cultures and nationalities every day,” he explains. In such an international environment, knowing how to listen, rephrase and build links is essential. You also need to be organized, rigorous and able to deal with the unexpected.
It was at university, in the course of student projects, that Benoît discovered his interest in coordination. He remembers those moments when he had to make the link between sub-groups, talk to teachers, follow up on deliverables... A first experience of project management that naturally oriented him towards this career path.
Each morning begins with a meeting with the other project managers to review priorities. This is followed by discussions with technical teams, consultants, customers, support departments... "I talk to everyone," he says with a smile. Even slightly less exciting tasks, such as checking that consultants are filling out their administrative documents correctly, are necessary to keep everything running smoothly.
In a context where customer needs evolve so fast, Benoît insists on the need to be agile. “You have to be able to adapt quickly to the unexpected,” he underlines. To achieve this, he relies on solid teams, well-structured projects and fluid communication.
