At Technology & Strategy, we are committed to environmental sustainability, transforming our environmental objectives into business drivers. Each year, we assess our carbon footprint, adopting a low-carbon approach and positioning ourselves as a key player in the ecological transition. In 2024, T&S's total carbon footprint amounted to 15,661 tCO2e with emissions spread over three scopes. T&S is deploying initiatives to control its environmental impact and fight climate change by setting emission reduction targets in line with the Science-Based Targets (SBTi) initiative.
All T&S entities have made an environmental commitment which actively participates in assessing the company's carbon footprint and following a low-carbon path in line with SBTi.
Technology & Strategy's operations present both environmental challenges and opportunities. Our commitment to the environment is part of a sustainable approach to turning environmental objectives into drivers of economic development. T&S continually seeks to improve its environmental performance by setting relevant objectives and targets.
Faced with the climate challenge, a carbon footprint audit has become essential. It enables us to measure and analyze greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, thus providing a crucial basis for effective reduction strategies.
In 2024, the Technology & Strategy Group's total carbon footprint amounts to 15,661 tCO2e, encompassing emissions from all three perimeters. It is important to note that our carbon footprint has increased by 34% over 2023. This significant increase is mainly due to the delivery by our ENGLAB subsidiary of a large production line to a UK-based customer. This exceptional sale alone represents 4,518 tCO2e of emissions.
- Scope 1: 13.2% of total emissions are direct emissions from sources owned or controlled by T&S.
- Scope 2: 1.7% of total emissions are indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heat and cooling.
- Scope 3: 85.0% of total emissions come from other indirect emissions generated by the company's value chain.
In May 2024, the Technology & Strategy Group took an important step by committing to setting short-term, science-based emissions reduction targets in line with SBTi criteria and recommendations. These targets will be submitted to SBTi for validation by the end of 2024.
We are proud to announce that these objectives were validated by the SBTi in April 2025, confirming the robustness and credibility of our low-carbon trajectory.
For the first time, all Technology & Strategy divisions have made a collective environmental commitment. As part of this commitment, each entity took an active part in assessing the company's carbon footprint. In the future, they are committed to following a low-carbon path in line with the Science-Based Targets (SBTi) initiative.
Our commitment to environmental management drives us to continually improve and contribute to a sustainable future.
