All roads lead to T&S: when going on an adventure also makes it easier to return!
Rémy’s passion and near devotion for travelling began at an early stage, during his academic career. A 180-degree career path that quickly opened him England’s doors and helped him take the leap in the University of Huddersfield. A 200,000 inhabitants’ town where he did a 3-month internship during his University Technology Diploma (DUT) in “Electrical & Industrial Engineering” (GEII). A golden opportunity and a steppingstone that allowed him to continue his studies in the homeland of the Beatles and Fish & Chips: first with a bachelor degree in “Electrical Engineering & Computer Systems”, then with a master degree specialized in Embedded Systems.
THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN A GERMAN-BRITISH INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER PROGRAM TO NURTURE ONE’S OPEN-MINDEDNESS!
Enhanced by his very first immersion abroad, Rémy then benefited from numerous professional opportunities. One of them allowed him to join the T&S teams in 2015, within the framework of an international volunteer program. What was his project all about may you ask?
To make it simple, he developed an embedded acquisition system as a C++ Developer for a German company. Shortly after, a second project in line with his career path was offered to him, which meant joining an automotive supplier in Birmingham (England) to work as a Requirement Engineer, on the elaboration of a radar for autonomous vehicles.
HOME SWEET HOME: STARTING NEW AS A PROJECT MANAGER
Following this 18-month interlude abroad working both in Germany and England, Rémy returned to his homeland as a Technical Project Manager for in the automotive sector. After having contributed on the integration of a diesel engine pollution control system (SCR) in Compiègne, it didn’t take long before he wanted to take on a new adventure. He owes his latest escapade to our Toulouse agency, where he is now currently on the integration of a vehicle access solution on BCM as a Technical Project Leader.
PASSION IS WHAT ENABLES US TO KEEP GOING… AND MOVING!
Because of his passion for Asian countries, his next milestone would be to fly now to Thailand, Japan, Korea, or Vietnam. Indeed, it all started with a classical dedication for manga when he was still a student. But it didn’t quite leave him since. Whether it’s through Asia’s history or culture (music, writing, animation, and movies), there is every chance that he would beat you in any Trivial Pursuit game. Past the simple “I’ve been there” checkbox goal, being able to travel or ideally live there once, would be a natural evolution in terms both of career path and personal expectations.
"If there is one value related to my career that I would like to pass on, it would be to always embark on an adventure and never look back or doubt your decisions. Borders should not become barriers. On the contrary, travelling is accessible to everyone, as long as you give yourself the means to take the first step!"
