Nicolas, tell us about your background!
Ever since I was a child, I dreamt to be a fighter pilot. However, my sight problems forced me to give up on my dream. So I went to an engineering school without any clue about what I would do next.
That’s when I came across the industrial field: I especially had the chance to see my dream of working in aerospace defense from up close.
I discovered some hugely interesting lines of work and had the opportunity to run the activity of my company in test facility airbase during 3 years.
Eventually, I became attracted by project and people management. T&S contacted me offering me to work on the project that I have been working on since. I have been working as a Technical Key Account Manager at the Bordeaux branch since September 2019. I am in charge of technical activity coordination (team management, Key People coordination, pre-sales participation, recruitment, activity organisation, technical board relationship).
What do you like most about your job?
One of the things I like most about what I do is the multidisciplinarity of my activities and the feeling that my technical expertise is a genuine added value for my HR and commercial coworkers. We managed to find an atypical operating model that is both successful and allows everybody to contribute to the building of the Bordeaux adventure.
This is what I really love: seeing the outcome of all my effort and commitment. It’s a huge motivating factor!
What is the most interesting project you have worked on?
It’s quite complicated to narrow down two years to one single project. I think one of the missions I carried out for one of our clients in Bordeaux was really gratifying to me.
It was my very first experience as a project leader. I can undoubtedly state by now that this job is the perfect fit for me.
One last word?
If I should name one thing that T&S taught me, it would be a complete different mindset about consulting. Before knowing T&S, I thought that consulting was just about subcontracting. I can clearly see today the expertise that we deliver to our clients and the fulfillment that it brings to our consultants.
